Yeh same sorta until my VOX broke I was using it for clean funkier tones and sweepy stuff yet I reckon the crybaby sounds better for lead although both aren't a good as I'd like. I think I may mod my VOX while fixing it .... i'll see .... of on a tangent i've gone.

Anyway, I had a CFH when it first came out. I think it's just an overpriced 535 with skateboard grip tape. I can put skateboard grip tape on a dunlop and have the same deal. Same deal with the dimedistortion. I can write "DIMEBAG" on a metal zone and have the same deal.

No. Probably just a sentence structure you're not familiar with.
The DB01 has an extra fine tune knob on it and LEDs for the boost and wah. It also has a second input/output. Beyond that, they're more or less the same.

A have a pair of older wah's. A Mu Tron wah/volume from 1980, and a Morely Power Wah Boost that I recently got in a trade that's also probably about that old. I can say from using these two that it's possible to have too wide of a range. The upper part of their range can sound too shrill when I use them on lead guitar. But that wide travel sounds good if you're using it for funky rhythm parts. Both of the ones I have have active buffer amps, which I think are a good thing as long as they're clean sounding. They preserve your signal, allow longer cable runs, and can even be used as a clean boost.
Some of the newer wahs like the Morely Bad Horsey and Tremonti wahs are voiced to sound better on lead soloing, or have an adjustable range.
That would be the most important consideration, though a lot of other important ones have been mentioned too.
That helps. Although I would second the advice to go to a guitar shop and try a bunch of them out yourself.

You can adjust nearly every setting, including how soon after you take your foot off of it that the auto-off kicks in. You can flip a lever and have it operate in a footswitchable on/off (the switch is on the side, instead of stomping down on the fully depressed pedal).
I can't say enough good things about this pedal. I'm not a big fan of wah, but since I bought this pedal I've used it MUCH more in many different ways.
If you have several hundred $$$, get a boutique wah. If you don't, get a WD7.
Besides, I like it when demons weep.
The WD7 is almost infinitely tweak-able. It has a GREAT bang/buck ratio.

Its all about what gives you the tones you like. A stock Dunlop Crybaby for example I personally don't care for as I don't like the tone it gives, but if thats the wah sound you like, then go for it and be happy. In fact your lucky a $60 pedal gives you what your after. Why spend more ?
Some people like that Crybaby sound, suits the music they play. Heck, I'm sure somewhere there someone who likes Kirk Hammett's wah sound (other than Kirk Hammett) and wants to sound like that lol. Point is it takes all types to make the world go around.
So maybe the "best" is a $60 Crybaby or maybe its a $400 Pro Analog Supa Quack or maybe it lies somewhere in between.
Only way to find it is to try a bunch of wahs and judge based upon your ears, not the brand name, reputation, or price.

Might not be the best but the Budwah is awesome! Took me about 1 hr to warm up to it. Compared w several. Replaced my Clyde. It's simple and sounds great. Better than any Dunlop I had.

The ones not used....it is a slightly tiresome effect...lol
Do not care much for any new ones....really.
A few are cool....but then again....I never use mine, every 2-3 years I haul it out use it it alittle and stuff it away again.
