Best way to mix different active pickups?

Dear forum members.

I recently swapped out a LiveWire Dave Mustaine signature bridge pickup out of a signature Dean VMNT because it was defective.
It got replaced by an EMG57 because I couldn't easily acquire a separate LW-MUST bridge pickup in my area.

It then came to my mind that for optimal performance, the LW-MUST uses 100k volume pots, while the EMG's are optimized for 25k.

The guitar comes equiped by default with a volume/volume/tone + 3way toggle configuration. It does work of course for the individual pickups, but the volume differences when using both pickups at once are, to be expected, inconsistent.

What's the best possible wiring or way to mix the two active pickups (LW-MUST neck, EMG 57 bridge) together, without offering too much of a compromise?

I tried shunting the LW-MUST with 100k resistor, and then wiring a 25k volume pot afterwards as a master volume (for both pickups), and that seems to work, but I'm not sure if it might affect the performance of the LiveWire pickup. Wiring it up in this way seems to balance out the two pickups when running them together as well.

Please advise with your knowledge...

Regards, Thomas

Thomas, our engineers advise that it is OK to run the LiveWire with 25k pots – the tone should be unaffected.
