If I were wealthy - and I mean really wealthy, I would buy something like that and then make a video of myself blowing it up or otherwise destroying it and then post the video on message boards.

But before that, I'd plug in my rock maple body/beck Bich with ebony board and Blackout Metals, put the gain on 10, bass/treble on 10, and mids on 0; and play Kirk Hamster style solos.

But before that, I'd plug in my rock maple body/beck Bich with ebony board and Blackout Metals, put the gain on 10, bass/treble on 10, and mids on 0; and play Kirk Hamster style solos.

I'd do it in the style of a Youtube gear demo, except I'd make sure my guitar was out of tune and the amp's settings were such that it would sound awful. Then I'd play baby riffs like Smoke on the Water and the like off time and out of tune for a few minutes and then pretend to get angry and smash the amp to pieces.

That's how I'd troll as a rich guy.

You can get alot of head for much much much cheaper than that. Hell even a mail order bride is less than that for that much you could get 4 of them.

Played a Dumble once...didn't get the hype when they $15k...sure don't get it at $50K+

I agree with you.

Never played one - don't thin i want too.
Imho, NO amp is worth 10K, never mind 15K or higher.

Give me a SLO & Electric (expensive enough) and i can die a happy man !

I wonder if someone at Fractal or Kemper bought it.

It was bought by Cliff, the owner of Fractial Audio (the makers of the Axe-Fx). He will be taking it apart and modelling it for the AxeFx2. There is already a model of the Dumble in it, but it was based on a boutique copy, now there will be a copy of the real thing.

An items "worth" is always relative to a persons disposable income.
Keeping in mind that once Howard got rolling..... his amps were frequently built with a specific player's hands in mind.
As with ANY amp, it may or may not be to your liking at any price.
