BG 1400 _ Vol & Tone Pots??

72' Custom

New member
Hey
I'm new to the forum and just purchased a BG 1400 for the bridge of my Telecaster Custom. The Neck Pickup is a Wide Range Humbucking Pickup and uses a 1 meg Volume and Tone Pot. Since I have separate Volume and tone pots for the Bridge I can use the best value for that.

I'm going to start with 250K for volume and tone with a .047uf cap and see how it works.

Any suggestions or experience with the BG 1400 as far as what works best for Vol and tone pots? :scratchch

No experience with a BG 1400, but I use 250K pots (volume & tone) on all my P-90's & Phat Cats in the bridge position. Same for any bridge HB that has an A5 or A4 magnet. 250K's shave off a little of the treble, but leave enough for bite & cut. Makes the mids seem stronger too. I don't like thin, shrill bridges, and 250K's have worked great for me.

I used mine with 250 vol and tone...MJ told me thats what the ddesigned it to be used with and thats what works best with it, I think she is right. This reminds me I need to put that beast back into a guitar!
