big improvement on my squier strat...

a while back when i bought this for 100$ (used) i replace the amazingly shotty stock pups with seymour duncans (cr/vr/hr). wow! it sounded great now. one problem reamained, i couldnt keep this bugger in tune. if i used the tremelo... it was so out of tune it was unplayable. i put 5 new springs in, that helped a bit. still, the problem stuck around. i ordered fender locking tuninng keys from musicians friend. they came in today. i put them in about an hour and a half ago. (i also got a six pack of ghs mediums and restrung it) this guitar is actually not half bad anymore. a little work and this thing is almost as good (almost) as the american strat (minus the kickass duncans). im so pleased with this upgrade, i thought id share. sorry to take up your time.

Thats great! My friend has a double fat strat (squier) and its actually really good... and totally stock :S (he musta got lucky)

i have cool rails neck/vintage rails mid/hot rails bridge. i really like this combination. whats in yours?
