Big Muff Problems

Hello font of all knowledge forum.

I'm having some problems with Russian Big Muff from about 8 years ago.

All I get when I turn it on is a loud squeal. There is a really quiet through signal of the guitar sound, but only if I have something boosting that signal before the EHX.

Any ideas what component(s) could be causing this?

Thats an interesting one. Never had that problem before. Ive heard of problems like this with the DC jack so id make sure nothing is somehow shorting that out or something like that. Next step would be checking the output and then the switch and battery as mentioned above.

did you fix it? There's a couple people you could send to, if you feel like spending $$$ to fix it. There's also a couple for sale on this forum
