bigger and more versatile emg hz-h4?

hey guys, i recently got a fernandes revolver pro with a sustainer. it rocks! haha. but anyway, i'm limited to the use of only one bridge humbucker. so i was looking for something more versatile than usual.

i've heard a lot about dimebuckers and heard that when installed flipped, they had great trebly distortion while having some of the most beautiful cleans.

currently, i've been listening to geek prog. anyone of you guys heard of the black mages? anyways, i've noticed that their tone on distortion is similar to the EMG HZ-H4 but with bigger sounding bass. i was wondering if you guys knew of any bridge pickups that sounded warmer and bigger than usual but still retaining harmonic overtones and good cleans.

basically speaking, something like a bigger, bassier emg-hz h4 distorted but with pristine cleans. any suggestions of any brand would be appreciated.

When you go with bigger output and a bigger sound, you lose your nice cleans. Do this, get and install an EMG SPC in place of one of your tone knobs and you will be in business. With the SPC turned down the guitar will sound like it does now, when you turn it up, it will add alot more size to the sound and also have greater output! I have done this to EMGs and I have also done this with passive pickups before and it works like a charm! One of the meanest sound axes I have ever had had a set of Duncan Distortions in it with an EMG SPC and the guitar sounded HUGE and also very mean in a good way. JB From Hell on here has played it and heard it, he knows what I am talking about. BTW, the price of a SPC is alot cheaper than a pickup!

Bare knuckle warpig.

22.5k a5 magnet.. split it for cleans... or put it in paralel

or do what dave said. it does work

You've already got a battery in it, why not just step up to an active EMG like an 85 or 60.

The Distortion + SPC loaded Goth V Dave spoke of was indeed a flamethrower.
