Biggest score in speaker history!!!

you all know about me winning that auction on ebay for those 2 JBL d130f speakers. Well this is what happened.

The speakers arrived with the cones ripped, and they obviously did not work. I sent an email to the guy saying that he lied about one of the speakers working and i was going to send it back. (He posted that one worked really well on the ebay auction)

Well, he replied this morning saying that he was going to fully credit my card, and i could keep the speakers for free!!!! I cannot believe this!!!!

With those 300 bucks i can now recone both and have perfectly working badass JBL originals!!!!

Re: Biggest score in speaker history!!!

That's really cool of the guy. He probably debated either selling them or throwing them away, so he didn't really care. It'll probably cost about $80 a piece to get them reconed, but they'll be killer.

yea, im really pumped up to try them out. Should i recone them w/ aluminum or paper centers?

Re: Biggest score in speaker history!!!

I like the paper, but the aluminum is more traditional JBL tone. Its a little brighter (the aluminum), they sometimes have a scratchy tone to my ears.

I can't believe someone on EBay would be so considerate... you got really lucky mang.
