Bill Kelliher Jumps Ship to ESP

It's kind of ugly but kind of not at the same time. I'm not a fan of the control layout. I was hoping for a classic LP style control setup which I thought Kelliher favored due to his love of the LP Silverbursts and his Halcyon LP. Maybe the lawsuit is still preventing them from making a four control guitar still.

Either but overall it looks pretty sweet. Then again I love esp eclipse guitars. It's been my main for over 5 years now

Re: Bill Kelliher Jumps Ship to ESP

So it is kinda like an LP with different controls? I wonder what else is different about it.

Re: Bill Kelliher Jumps Ship to ESP

I guess it is lighter than LP as well, and most probably it is made in the same factory in China as the Ibanez ARZIR

Re: Bill Kelliher Jumps Ship to ESP

Endorsement nonsense. Who cares?

The only good coming out of this is work for photographers.

Re: Bill Kelliher Jumps Ship to ESP

He wasn't ever endorsed by Gibson was he? He just used old LPs. So technically, there was no ship jumping.
Looks like a modernization of his silverbursts with the green hue.

He had a signature Les Paul and Explorer

Re: Bill Kelliher Jumps Ship to ESP

With a white trash rat face like that, and dwindling taste in guitars, he should jump off a ship alright. LOL

What's that? Another useful post by Gearjoneser? ... Bill rips, and is in one of the most unique metal bands to come out in awhile. Last I checked you didn't have any company's coming after you for a signature...

Yikes! Talk about a bad business desicion! Lol! Although I've heard ESP treats their featured artists VERY well... Maybe Gibson didn't give a fack?

Maybe ESP offered him 2x the money...that would be a good business decision! Plus, I know alot of his fans were peeved his signatures were mainly in limited numbers. Who knows. Wonder if Brent will jump over too?

Re: Bill Kelliher Jumps Ship to ESP

Unless you are a seriously top-level artist, your 'signature' guitar is generally a collection of features they already offer and can bring to market quickly. It is better for sales that way, and it keeps the money flowing in. BTW, this has nothing to do with the skill of the artist, but how much $$ he/she can generate in the marketplace.
