I like the look of the Gibsons better, but I can understand him jumping ship because I've heard Gibson is a nightmare to deal with. I also don't like the control setup on this ESP/LTD. seems like just another Eclipse with a ****ty paint color.

My LTD1000 played better than any Les Paul studio I ever tried.
My Eclipse II Aged beat out a LOT of Les Pauls.
I miss both guitars but If I'm gonna do that again I'm gonna go with the thicker body style.

I've had an Eclipse II for about 7 years and it'll probably always be with me. Took out the EMG's and put in some DiMarzio buckers and the thing sounds/plays/feels like a beast. And the vintage black paint w/ cream buckers has a classic kind of look to it. But that said, I can't see ever getting another ESP. Well crafted guitars but, like somebody said, my perception of them is the "heavy metal Gibson" these days and the look of a lot of their guitars today is a turn off for me. And it feels like it's gotten harder to see where ESP ends and Schecter begins.

Had a '15 EC401ow that got moved on very quickly. Complete dog. It was MIC. My Edwards just annihilated it in quality, fit and finish.
You could put a business card underneath the frets.
Really soured me on the LTDs.
Edwards or higher for me on ESP from now on.
As for the Kelliher sig model.
I liked his Black/Gold LP better. Plus it was full thickness. I'm guessing the ESP is going to be typical Eclipse thin body.

I really miss my Edwards JS.. Want to score another one day..
On the other hand, I once had a LTD EC400ATS that was a BEAST! I think they had a real winner with that model. Almost never see em come up used.

I have the bk 600 and it's a solid guitar and it's full body thickness and weighs in at 8.9lbs.. I have esp eclipse and Ltd ec1000s and this plays better or just as well and the quality is grea

IMO Korean-made LTD's are miles ahead of Indo and Chinese ones. I bet the Mastodon siggie is Korean like the rest of the higher-end LTD's.
