Billy Cobham

Re: Billy Cobham

I'm gonna start drinking water imported from Panama! My sensei (Shotokan Karate) is Panamanian and is over 50. He looks like he's in his 30's. And he's the most dangerous/deadly man I know at any age! Look how good Cobham looks at his age! Plus he can still pound!

As a side note: I remember the movie Airplane II a couple of decades ago. There is the scene were the main character goes into an airport gift shop. As he stands at the checkout counter, you can see a movie poster in the background hanging from the ceiling over his shoulder. It's a poster of some old geriatric looking guy in read/white/blue boxing shorts with boxing gloves on standing in a fighting pose. The caption reads, "Rocky XX". ROFL! Now its 2006 and we're about to be treated by yet another Rocky movie! LOL! Truth really is stranger than fiction! ROFLMAO!

Hey, for me, this one of those cases where the original is far above any copy or interpretation. I admit that I am biased.;)

Awesome 70's fusion..great vibe :)

Billy does look quite young for his age..that's cool.

Another track which is 100% cool from that LP is Red Baron.

I think Tommy Bolins (RIP) playing on the whole LP is amazing. I never really heard him repeat that standard anywhere else.
