Does anyone know if there is a huge difference between the original and the reissue Expandora? I have a chance to snag an original but it is kind of pricey. I dont mind paying it but if the reissue is just as nice, I'd just as soon get a new one. Anyone know about this?
I found them to be fairly different but some people would consider the changes to the reissue an upgrade...it all depends on why you want one and what you want it for.
I've got the original one but I haven't heard the reissue. The original is a very ballsy little distortion box.
Cheers...............................wahwah
The reissues don;t have the dip switches they replaced that with a knob...hard left is one setting, hard right is another and ead noon is another, this let's you get inbetween sounds but it doesn't let you get the "hidden' setting and to be fair thats part of the appeal for me! Another thing that changed is the bass response...the reissue has more and IMO it sounds "wrong"...I like the more midrange character that old ones have.
