It's a beast all of it's own...
The version 1 Expandora has 2 switches for a total of 4 sounds. Overdrive, Crunch and Distortion are in the manual and the 4th setting is not.
The version 2 replaced the switches with a knob...far left was one setting, noon was the second setting and far right was the third and the fourth setting is unavailable on this version however the low end was beefed up a good bit/
Version 3 went back to switches over the extra knob and added a 3rd switch that switched between the bass cut of version one and the big low end of version 2.
The Expandora has a lot of users but the big 3 most folks thing about were both of the fools in Bush during their first run, Bootsy Collins and my friend and yours Mr. Bilyl F. Gibbons.

You can hear the guitar cutting in and out and that's all due to the Expandora...it's a BEAST in that setting!
Billy used the expandora HEAVILY on that album (Rhythmeen) to great effect...
