Biyang RV10 Reverb?

Has anyone tried the Biyang RV10 Tri Reverb pedal?

I'm looking for a reverb pedal for my board to just add a little bit of standard reverb to amps without on-board reverb. Would be used an an always on pedal to wet the signal slightly.

Seems overkill to get a Boss RV6 or TC Hall of Fame for that purpose.

The RV10 is under $40 and seems to sound fairly good on Youtube videos?

Any thoughts?

I haven't. I use a HOF mini for this and it's perfect.

I've got one, yeah it's not bad actually some of the sounds are quite similar but full stereo in/out, nice big reverb sounds but not really springy

Re: Biyang RV10 Reverb?

I bought a Catalinbread Topanga for that, and a TC Hall of Fame for variety. Sorry; I know that doesn't help much.

A used Boss '63 Fender Reverb would be killer. Edit: I guess it's discontinued. Well it would be a solid pedal at a reasonable price. It's not worth the BS collectors' prices some of these jokers are asking.

That's the other option if I can get one at a good price, I think I may hold out for a HOF mini as the TC Electronics products are great!

Re: Biyang RV10 Reverb?

What I love about mine is that I designed a tone print that goes from subtle to cavernous and adds in more reflections as I increase the amount knob on the pedal. My always-on is about 10 o'clock but then I can sweep up (often with my foot) to 2 o'clock for instant surf-a-billy - all in a tiny footprint!

That's what I did too. From a subtle plate up to a cavernous modulated hall. Amazing what a well designed patch on a one-knob Reverb can do!

Re: Biyang RV10 Reverb?

I agree that for what you want - as I would say "An amp spring verb set on 3 permanently". cheaper is better.

I'd have a hard time arguing with a TC HOF mini....or a Moore Shimverb.

However - when you want to talk big boy reverb, get with me. Holy Grails, Verbzilla's, Digitech Hardwire, Boss RV-3, and of course Strymon. Ahhh - the joy of space!

For that purpose I'd suggest EHX Holy Grail. Especially if you don't have loop for it.

It's incredibly smooth.

Re: Biyang RV10 Reverb?

The Biyang is good reverb pedal for what you want it for. I have one & it's great for sweetening your lead tone etc..
