Received this one last week, a lefty 2003 Heritage 157.

I don't usually care for black guitars, but one word sums this one up ....

Smokin' !!!

Re: Black Beauty

Congrats to the OP, there is nothing sexier than a Black standard or Custom!!!

I had one for about 12 years. HC150. Overall:Great guitars-and in the early 90s (when I bought mine) a really good alternative to a Gibson. Better pups, nicer flamed tops, better construction-especially neck angles and neck joint. More consistent since they build so few. IME they play a bit "stiff" compared to a gibson and are brighter, however my experience is also limited to the Schaller roller bridges and tailpieces they used at that time, and could be the contributing factor for those issues I had with mine. I should have just changed the things, but never did.:smack:

These days, now that I'm not hung up on the headstock name, and shape I'd just as soon as have another Heritage as a I would a production model Gibson Standard, especially if I was buying "blind" (i.e. not being able to play it first).

Re: Black Beauty

Yeah,
what every one else said. I've got a '66 LP Custom B.Beauty and
when I got it it was so beat up the paint was chipping off in my hands.
I very much like all things nickel but the gold on yours is f'ing beautiful.
Good catch.

Re: Black Beauty

Thanks guys !
This one is a beauty for sure. I'm not sure what pu'ps are in it at the moment, supposed to be Schallers but they might be Heritages own HRWs. I do have a set of Seth Lovers for it but I might leave that for a while as it sounds fine as it is.
