Black Friday Song Remix

Re: Black Friday Song Remix

My words. My mouth. My attitude.

I interpreted post #10 to be a friendly, don't sweat it. This recording is just a rough sketch. If this point had been made clear from the outset, I would not have put any time or effort into critical listening.

I apologise if this stance seems harsh. Put it down to English reserve. I am not given to gushing, fulsome praise.

It's all good. As I stated, I respect and value other people's opinions and constructive criticism.

I'm just happy with what I did with it considering that only two days prior to recording it, I had just written the intro riff, and the riff right after it. I recorded it to my cell phone video so I wouldn't forget it, and I had only come up with those riffs about 5 minutes before I recorded it to my cell phone. Also, I didn't even have the chordsy thing in B,E,D until about five minutes before I even hit the record button. I knew the song needed something else, so I stole two slimey chords from Van Halen's "Women In Love", and threw them in there. Then, on the fly as I was recording I went into the E to G slower groove thing out of nowhere. I'm very happy with how it turned out as a "demo" considering how fast I threw it together by myself, and had to figure out by myself what I was going to play on every instrument. :)

I just uploaded this straight from my cell phone just now. I do this often so I don't forget riffs/licks.

So yeah, I'm pretty happy that it went from the video below with me just laying around on the couch with an unplugged Charvel, to the soundclip above all within a matter of a few days.:)
