The following parts were bought to replace the "Black Nickel" hardware with real deal, black hardware on a couple ESP MIJ guitars. All parts, except for both sets of tuners, were bought brand new and only have a few hours use.

Purchases over $50 include shipping to a Paypal confirmed address in the lower 48 U.S.

For shipping on purchases under $50, PM your city, state, and zip code and I'll get back with you.

  • Black Original Floyd Rose with R2 nut. 37mm block. Made in Germany. Nut has never been used because I already had one on hand. Studs/posts, claw/screws, springs, and wrenches are sealed in baggy and have never been used. Also, includes retainer bar and screws. $160 shipped.

  • Set of 6 Black Gotoh tuners. These have the non-offset tab and were hard to find. I had to buy used because they were no longer in production to buy new. The straight tab allows one to swap tuners on an ESP Horizon, M-II, etc. (and possibly other brands/models) without modifying the headstock. These have some mild wear around the edges, but I'm pretty picky and once on the guitar they look like new. The separate tuner in the pics probably shows the most wear. $50 shipped.

  • Set of 6 Gotoh ESP branded black tuners. Same story as with the other tuners. However, the ESP branded version is even harder to find and is long out of production. $60 shipped.

  • Genuine Floyd Rose Upgrades Big Brass Block 37mm. I have bought several of these and they have no marking of any sort, but I assure you it came from FRU. The "37" is my handwriting. $28SOLD

  • Four ESP black dome knobs with set screw. I believe these are manufactured by Gotoh. $4 each. One sold. Three still available.
  • One black oval jack plate. I bent this into a curve to conform to a ESP Horizon body, but it can probably be straightened back out. $4
  • Two black 3-way pickup switches. I bought these from GuitarPartsDepot (now out of business) and have not seen many all black switches like these. $10 each.BOTH SOLD

Hey Chad,

I can use the big block and a black switch for my promod build.

I'll take another black switch and a knob to push it over $50 for free shipping. I'm in Cinci so it won't cost you much.

Thanks DonP. Brass block, both switches, and one knob sold.

Re: Black OFR MIG, Gotoh Tuners, TonePros bridge/tailpiece, FRU brass block, etc.

would that block be an aftermarket brass block from "Floyd Upgrades" or a genuine big brass block block upgrade from the real Floyd Rose?

Re: Black OFR MIG, Gotoh Tuners, TonePros bridge/tailpiece, FRU brass block, etc.

^It came from Adam at www.floydupgrades.com. I believe the ones from Floyd Rose have "FR" with the size imprinted on them. All the ones I have got from Adam have no markings of any sort. The block is sold, btw.

Re: Black OFR MIG, Gotoh Tuners, TonePros bridge/tailpiece, FRU brass block, etc.

don't need one. just curious. I'm led to believe that FR has started to void warranties if anything comes back to them with any upgrades that aren't 'real' Floyd Rose which might be why FR is putting the "FR" stamp in them. I've tried brass from a few places and it seems that they're all pretty much the same...guess it boils down to who people like to deal with, like most things. Adam's always been very cool to me, but I have several guitars with tighter cavities and get my blocks through a guy that won't charge me an arm and a leg for a one-off. lol!

sorry for the temporary thread-jack. I just like to interact with people about more than pickups. lol! :thanks:
