Well . . . this just came out of left field! I'm showing my wife this thread. Talking about how I'm going to "mod" this guitar . . . and she says "NO! I bought you this guitar. You're going to leave it alone." I guess that settles that. :wall:

My wife has bought me a few guitars and I wouldn't dream of modding them without her permission.
If for no other reason than it's because I'm thankful that she supports my passion... I know a lot of guys have wives/girlfriends who are quite the opposite!
Think of it this way... maybe now you have an excuse to get another blue "sister" guitar to mod! [emoji12]

Um....would she even realize it if you made some changes? My wife is only vaguely aware that stringed instruments exist in the house.

On a side note, no one seems to like the pickguard on an LP. Just curious as to why not?

Get chrome...then you can spend time polishing your knobs.

Pickguards on LPs always look like they are an afterthought addition to me. Kinda like gold badging on a Cadillac...cheapens the look. (IMHO)
Besides, a lot of Pauls have really nice wood grain on the top, and the pickguard covers that.
But, but . . . I love my knobs.
