Black Strat - Made In Japan Circa '86

Black Strat made in Japan for sale. I've owned it about 6 or 7 years. According to the Fender website it was made in '86. Very nice player with pro installed Dimarzio's. Fast neck. PU's are Dimarzio noiseless variety neck and middle with bridge humbucker. I think it's worth about $500? Will be glad to discuss serious offers.

It's got the orig Fender Trem. I replaced the 5 way selector sw about a year ago, but the button on the switch came off and I haven't replaced it. No issues with the guitar at all. Finish is in very nice condition. No rust or damage or anything funky like that.

For your info that's a Contemporary Strat, and yes, they were 85/86. I had a twin humbucker Tele from the same series, and with the same trem. I think it's a system 3 trem. Very nice guitars, good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the info. Since you seem to know about this model/ series, what do you think the guitar is worth? I had no idea what to ask for it.

I'm really not sure. The prices in the UK often bear no relation to the actual value of gear. I paid £350 for mine back in '93, and it went as part of a trade for an amp. I wish I'd kept it tho!
