Black Winter: bridge | Perpetual Burn: neck ?

Hi all, I am looking to get new gear as soon as I sell the old ones, moving is a pain... I am eyeing a mid range floyd equipped basswood body maple neck guitar in order to not feel like I have sinned when scalloping the fretboard, which is maple. Black Winter bridge seems to be what I'd want right under my palm. Unfortunately, I am struggling with neck pickups, not the biggest fan of the Black Winter neck, I thought I would like it, but I didn't, the bass response didn't work for me, it is almost like it actually has a bass response, which should be a good thing but oddly jarring to my low-passed ears. My favourite neck pickup so far is the Jazz Bridge, makes no sense I know!! Ive heard that putting the Perpetual Burn in the neck worked for quite a few, and an unorthodox choice may just be what I need, like I am going to turn down an opportunity to support Mr Becker!!. Please, shower me with your wisdom, what can the Perpetual Burn offer in the neck, will the mystic art of neoclassicism bring a new dimension to the glacial Scandinavian spirit?

Well, I'd have to ask more questions- what do you want in a neck pickup? Do you ever use it clean?

I am not too fond of neck cleans, I prefer using the bridge split
