Black Winter or what?

The Black Winter bridge is a special pickup. Don't know how they managed to create a pup that is ultra-hot, does everything it does, and responds so well to tone/volume adjustments and coil-splitting. Probably my favorite pickup of all time TBH.

I was thinking the Fishman Will Adlers that I have in my H-400 were my favorite pickups, but I think I like the Black Winter better. It's similar, just kind of extra. It's chunkier, hotter, and more agressive. I'm surprised with the note clarity even with so much output.

Man, I really hope the gold-covered Distortion Neck that I ordered to go with it keeps up!

The cool thing about the BW is that you can also play non-heavy music with it and it does fine, unlike the Nazgul.

That is what I have found. It is powerful enough to push my Excelsior to break up and give me a great British Invasion sound. Definitely more versatile than people expect from a "metal" pickup.
