Re: Black Winter vs SD custom shop Tyrannotitan

yeah only a marshall let's you put the mids on 8 and sound agressive instead of flab, i only wish my amp were the kind of amp that cranked let me set the mids over 2....

that's amazing how much of a difference in sound quality of a CS PUP versus the product line one. Nice vid.

Dark order, if i remember well, you've tried a Dimarzio megadrive and some bare knuckles, how you compare them to both the BW and TT?

Hmmmmmm.... The Megadrive has scooped mids, but sounds nothing like an sh5 (before any of jump to that conclusion), it has that Kerry King sound from 'South of Heaven'. Its very interesting. I used it for all my rhythms and solos on my second album straight through a DSL100 Marshall, no Fx:

"Slaves of a Nameless God" - Dark Order

I tried the the BKP Painkiller and it has more fizz and less growl than the BW/TT, and less of that cool pick attack/chunk chunk than DD's, JB's TT's. The aftermath is worse still, when I tried to compensate the gain in my Marshall it didn't help. When I played a song with my band, the aftermath was lost in the mix, but a DD/BW/TT does not
