When it is on it adds the tube for the vibrato into either the preamp or power (can't remember). It does make a difference.... it adds just a little bit more gain. When it is turned off the Vibrato still works. In order for me to answer this accuratley I would need to know more about the mod. How permanent would it be? If I wanted to put it back to original what would need to be done? 3 Knob reverb in a Fender does sound pretty cooll
