Blackout(ing) a humbucker

Has anyone tried this with a C8 using the blackout BMP-1 preamp and if so what were your findings? I was just wondering how it actually changed the C8.

I have found that using the BMP-1 on just about anything makes it close to a Blackout. I remember Frank Falbo years ago saying that no matter what pickup you run into it, its basically gonna sound like and have all the characteristics of a Blackout. And he wasn't kidding either.
