Blackout Modular Preamp Trouble

Hello All,
I just installed the BMP into my Jackson Rhoads, I wanted to boost the stock Jackson Pups with some active Power. After "installing" the guitar sounds very distorted(in a bad way). When turning the volume/preamp pot, it produces a "warp space" sounding noise. Surely this isn't normal, please help ASAP.

Well, I'm an idiot! This was my first time with any sort of active circuitry, and the input jack wasn't in totally, and I think the stereo jack was making contact the tone pot.
