Blackout Modular Preamp

I am curious if the Blackout Preamp Pot I see mentioned turns passive pu into active etc.
The compatability issues is what I am worried about, I see they claim works with 4 wire PU's?
I have a SH-8 Invader in Bridge a V7 in neck and S1 Middle in my Ibanez
The Sh-8 is the only 4 Wire PU the V7 is 3 and of course the S1 is 2 wire
Will I be able to wire this in? I cannot find a wiring diagram anywhere to read and see if I can use it or not.
If I can only use it with my SH-8 I would be better off to buy a Set of AHB-1 or AHB-3 Blackouts

Re: Blackout Modular Preamp

Basically if I could find a Wiring Diagram I could tell, The normal Vol and Tone run off of the Switch which at that point doesn't matter if the PU is 2 Wire or 18 wire. if the directions had me connect like my current vol pot I would be fine.

Re: Blackout Modular Preamp

It does not get wired the same as your current setup. You can make it work, though.

Re: Blackout Modular Preamp

If you can find out how to wire and connect the single coil and the neck pickup to the BMP, I'd say give it a try. But on the other handif you can't get the other 2 pickups wired up to the BMP, I would also consider trying the Blackouts set with the middle single coil. To make the install even easier, you can order and use the EMG wiring system...

http://www.emgpickups.com/products/index/280/231/101

It comes with everything you need - pots (volume and tone), 5-way switch, jack and all wiring needed to connect everything. But I would first consider trying to get a hold of someone at Duncan to see if you can get those other 2 pickups wired up to the BMP before you go the route of replacing all 3 pickups with the Blackouts...

Either way, good luck!
