I'm a bit of a n00b installing them, but hey, at least they're here! Props to Kac for selling them to me for an extremely reasonable price.:32:
IDIOT! why the hell would you go off snippin wires off without nowing anything? THERE NOT EMG's you just ruined your pickups . :grumble::butkick:How do you "insulate" these? My EMGs dont have the wire, so I snipped the Blackout's off...gave me an incredible hum. So I put electrical tape around it....no help.
"7. Install the new 25k pots and stereo jack, and connect them as shown, depending
on your control set up. If your guitar is already equipped with 25k pots,
and has active pickups with quick connector cables, then you can simply unplug
the original active pickup from the quick connector, and plug in your new
active Blackout using the quick connector plug that is located on the bottom of
each Blackout. In this case you would not use the standard output cable coming
from the bottom of the Blackout. Instead, you will simply wind it up and insulate
the end of the cable. It can sit in the pickup cavity beneath the pickup. If there is
no room for the unused cable in the pickup cavity, the cable may be cut shorter,
and then insulated."
uhhh copperrrr? idkWait, what? I used the quik-connect.
Part i'm not good with.

well i just think it was pretty stupid to go hack away at a pickup not knowing what your doing.I don't think this response was very helpful or kind at all...

how is being called an idiot degrading? everyone has idiot moments. You may think it was stupid and so might others here. But degrading someone by calling them an idiot, especially when you may not know them and they're brand new to this forum, is a good way to run them off...
