Got a set of Blackouts coming for a Hamer Studio Custom I acquired recently:
This is the first guitar I've had with the classic EMG 85/81 combo and I think they sound pretty ****ed awesome (runnning at 9V; I think they sound like crap at 18V). It will be interesting to see if I end up sticking with the Duncans or going back to the EMG's after all is said and done. Messing around with pickups is fun!
