Blackouts Strat?

ah nice! then id totally do it. i thought they were 18v for some reason

The originals were. I'm assuming that Duncan realized at some point that they were losing sales by having 18-volt active's, and transitioned everything over to 9-volt.

I'll place my SPC order soon.

i really like mine. the neck and middle are the same pup, the bridge is voiced a bit thicker and with more output, but they sound more single coil than bucker for sure. i LOVE the setup i have with the neck and bridge having selectable output options and the spc mid boost to fatten things up.
SSS seems to be the go then. I have plenty of bridge-bucker guitars as is, might as well let the strat be a strat. It’s very much a “lead” guitar for me. I reach for it 90% of the times for solos in the studio because it’s just so comfortable to play. The neck and middle positions sound so nice as is, can only get better once it’s noiseless.
