Blackouts VS Livewires

Im going to go active and am havily dificulites of knowing the difference between Blackouts and Livewires.

What i want is those screaming active harmonics and a lot of distortion.

what would be the advantage of getting each one.

i dont need clean sounds from this pickup. im only getting a bridge pickup now


also. does anyone know a place you can order blackouts now? or are they not released yet?

im also running through a boss gt-8 and ive heard that actives can not work completely well with them but the people might not have known what they were talking about.

There are no cleans with Livewire Metals. They are unholy and brutal. For many people they are too much.

I haven't read up enough on the Blackouts to comment much on them. I just know SD would be hard pressed to make a pickup that is hotter than the LW Metal that retains any kind of clarity at all.

If the Blackouts are based on the EMGs and about the same output the Livewire Metal will blow them out of the water as far as output is, I take the distortion down a quarter of the way (from 3/4 to 1/2) when I play with my LWHMET.
