Blackstar Fly 3

Snake Aces

Singlecut Slut
Anybody ever mess with the Blackstar Fly 3 battery powered guitar amp or bass amp? I'm thinking of picking one of each of them up for campfire jammin' this year.

I use a Spark Mini, which is also great. Mini amps have really come a long way since my first one, in the early 90s.

The Blackstar Fly 3 guitar amp is more impressive than the bass amp. My brother in-law plays wooden Native American flute, so I wanted the bass amp to jam with him at fires. It's good enough for that.

The guitar amp on the other hand is actually quite impressive. I'm out jammin' with it tonight...

I have a Blackstar Fly 3 that I modified with a more efficient 3 inch 4 ohm neodymium speaker, added a speaker out jack and and a set of Schaller strap lock buttons in case you'd busk using a guitar strap to wear the amp. Sounds better and louder with the speaker upgrade and I'm using the amp with a 12 inch Eminence Legend (Fender speaker) Great little amp.IMG_0400 copy.webp

Interesting. You've got my attention. I especially would like to upgrade the speaker in the bass version of the Fly 3.

I have the Blackstar extension speaker cab. I imagine putting better speakers in both the guitar version and the bass version would be a good start, but I'd also like to upgrade the extension cab speakers.

Thanks for the info!
