Blackstar HT-series ... then, and now.

Quick Question :

I think, most of us know that when Blackstar amps started out, they advertised the entire HT-series as ALL-valve (tube) amps, but in reality, they had clipping diodes in their circuit, just like the Marshall Silver Jubilee, and some of the JCM-900's (NOT the SL-X).

Can anyone confirm / know for a fact, that the 2nd gen/series of Blackstar HT MKII's are indeed diode-free in their gain stage ?

Thank you very much.

I don't know for sure-

I own a 2020 model Blackstar HT-20mkII combo;

and judging by the sheer amount of gain the OD channel has, with only 2 tubes in there-

I'm 99% sure there are some "extra" distortion stage, with maybe diodes- to produce all the distortion :).

It's a good sounding distortion, though! \m/
