Blend Pot

I turned a 1 meg pot into a blender pot. But as with volume pots, when I twist the knob to the center position, it gets muddy and then clears up on full up or full down. So, in theory, the cap and resistor treble bleed mod would clean this up if I did it to both outer tabs on the pot. Right?

Thought I would share before I waste a trip to Radio Shack.

Well, it sounds to me like you misused the pot. A blender should be linear taper, and have both signals at 100% when in the middle. It sounds like you may have an audio taper pot, but even if you don't you're at 50% in the center. A true blend pot is two pots stacked on top of one another under the same knob. So there's no answer for you right now until we really know what you did, and why.
