Here is a method I have used for blocking a Floyd Rose (preventing it from going sharp) that works extremely well. You do have to file and shave the wood piece until it fits perfectly. You also need to use a couple really small wood screws to hold the block in place if you plan to still depress the bar and make the strings go flat....
The cool thing about this method is you can't tell be looking at the front if the guitar that the trem is blocked.
Here is the more tradional way-- inserting a wood block in the recessed area, thus preventing the bridge from being pulled sharp.
