What is the best way to block out all the room acoustics and refelcting frequencies when mic'ing up my amp? I'm just recording in my bedroom, so its a **** room for recording. Is there anything i can buy to put around the mic so only the guitar cab is getting recorded? Thanks.

Put the mic close to the speaker. Aim at a slight angle, at the rim of the cone. Crank it up.

Is your mic omni-directional? That can be an issue.

other than getting a mic with a tighter (cardioid , super cardioid, hyper cardioid) polar pattern and changing the room acoustics, throwing a sleeping bag over the speaker + mic would help.
