Blog: Hand and Wrist Stretches to Keep You Pain Free

Re: Blog: Hand and Wrist Stretches to Keep You Pain Free

Doesn't contain the most important stretch of all:

stretching your arm out and into the fridge to grab a beer.

I am disappoint.

I can see this helping people, cool :beerchug:

I am suprised the doctors did not tell you to do different holding periods.

bigger muscle stretches should be held for at least 30 seconds to get any benefit. for my whole body I do stretches from the book "3 minutes to a pain free life". other rehab stretches for tendonosis are only 1-3 seconds.

I have a bit of tennis elbow from 16 years of guitar; I do stretches from http://tenniselbowclassroom.com/treatment-for-tennis-elbow/ and sometimes from another similar site but do not recommend that site as much so I wont post it.

I also recommend physical therapy to strengthen the other muscles, I dig http://flextend.com/videos.html

I also take vitamins: b6, b12, magnesium, calcium, vitamin d, omega 3s.

If you don't want to end up like myself with painful CTS and RSS from.playing without stretching and warming up for 25 years, I highly reccomend using stretches like these long before any pain/discomfort starts.

Good article.
