Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

Re: Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

I was suprised by how many guitar are coming out with the new pickup models! (Nazgul and Sentient)

Also exciting to me that more builders are using stainless steel frets! The Keith Merrow model has em!

Thank you CTN. You should get your '59 Burst delivered sometime tomorrow before 10:30. ;)

Re: Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

I have never liked Schecter stuff outside of the old PTs like Hoss', but most of that looks really cool. I especially like the Hipshot hardtail option.

Hey!! Ive complimented you many a time in previous threads and never got any thing.. Unfair!!!

Re: Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

I remember the Schecter played when they hit the scene like 10-15 years ago sounded artificial. I was really pretty w/ binding and inlays, but it sounded untraditional like it was made with something other than wood, like a Parker Fly. Did they used to do that?

Anyway, these new ones look great. I love this one.

I think I need an Alder guitar. . .

Re: Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

Schecter is the "one" (or "other one", depends) manufacturer that I love even though I don't own any of their guitars. I can't tell you how many nights I have spent drooling over their various guitars instead of sleeping.

I really honestly am a mental "click" away from buying one every time I visit their page or the Drum City one...

My all-time-faves are the C1 and the Avenger with a special mention to the SLS series (sans the skull inlay, can't say I am a fan of those) with the Banshee ticking all the right '90s SuperStrat boxes. Obviously all of them with the SD pickups (usually the passive ones).

Oh I want one so bad...

Re: Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

I had an Ibanez 7 string about 10 years ago. But it was kind of a cheap POS, so I ended up selling it & haven't had one since. But over the past year or so I started to miss having it around, so I started looking at 7 strings again but nothing has made me pull the trigger yet. Some come close but always have something that turns me off. But that KM7 is looking like it may be the one I go ahead and get. It has the scale length I want, comes with pickups that I've been curious about, has a good bridge (although I would probably like a Floyd better), and it's just a damn classy looking guitar.

I'm happy that they brought the C-1 Classic back after being discontinued. It's one of my favorite Schecters, and the only one I own. I never understood why they dropped it in the first place.

Re: Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

OK I like this would've preferred the pickups were the other way around though

Still my fave guitar in their line up, I don't know why I don't own one I really like them, especially the white one they did a while back.

Re: Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

Did they stop making it? It said it was their 2014 lineup. They make the 3 pickup Custom but I just want a white 2 pup version, the red would be great too. They ought to do something like a seafoam green imo

Re: Blog: Schecter's 2014 Lineup

Again with more stuff outta ESP's Japan-only lines... The voodoo marketing folk use to conjure up country-specific branding schemes for their lineups cracks me up to no end
