I actually use this on two of my guitars. Its a great mod! It works especially well for the bridge.
The cool thing is if you bypass it when you have a split coil or parallel it remains split. So essentially you can get 6 tones from one humbucker

That is pretty cool. I was actually trying to come up with a way to switch past the spin-a-split for the bridge on my old bolt-on Warlock and came up with the same approach. It's nice being able to go from a split, almost single-coil tone to a full blown humbucker without losing the sweet spot on the split potentiometer! Of course, I didn't know there was an actual name for that wiring scheme.

I love having a blower switch on my guitars. One small waring, always remember that it's on at the end of a song. I instinctively reach for the volume knob to turn it down and it won't work, instant feedback!
