Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

Sexy beast for neoclassical stylings!

You know, since I dig Dean AND Duncan - is there anyway I could be like a artist rep for Dave or something?

Consider it done. There should be a stretch Hummer limo pulling up in front of your house in the next 10 minutes to take you to the airport where a private jet will fly you to meet Dave in Montreal to finalize the deal and hand you your six-figure signing bonus and as many Dean guitars as you can take back with you.

Make sure you're out front when the driver gets there.

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

I just got a call from the limo driver. He said you weren't waiting in front of your house. He said he can only wait another minute or two and then they'd have to find another artist rep for Dave. You are home, aren't you?

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

That is special and of course I would change everything on it and take paint off the neck on day 2. No limo at my house WTH ?

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

Sorry, Ace. He had to leave.

Oinkus, the limo should be pulling up in front of your house in around 10 minutes. Don't make the same mistake Ace did. Be out front. ;)

I'm available if need be.

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

Anyone want to be my artist rep? If so, look for a rusty '70s Super Beetle with one headlight to be in front of your house sometime in the next few weeks. Assuming the car is still running when it gets there, the driver will take you to the airport so you can buy a coach ticket to Phoenix to meet me, finalize the deal, pick up your free sack lunch and help yourself to as many old guitar magazines as you can fit in your single carry-on.

Stood out in front of my house for an hour gee whiz?

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

Hey Evan,

I went over to Armadillo enterprises. Sat down with Elliott and Mustaine.

They were both on board. Have you seen the killer Schenker V's they are producing all vintage and aged and all?

Anyway, they were both on board with the program and they asked what Skopps problem was.

Dave signed this for me:

Tell the Driver to Honk…I'll be waiting.

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

darth, I have a great story for you sometime. It's about how i got an "Outstanding Educator of the Year award, and dinner at a bunch of sororities…..and how another guy got a sit-down chat with the Dean - for saying exactly the same thing.

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

Is this really semi hollow or is it like the old Paul Gilberts with painted F holes? Absolutely love the look of it, not sure if I would trust a hollow V though.

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

Oops, looked at the link and noticed I could see into the guitar and it was really semi hollow. Forget my last comment lol. I do like Gilbert's idea though since I'm not a big fan of semi hollows.

Re: Blog: The Mustaine Signature Dean StradiVMNT

I love the set in strap buttons. never played a mustaine model dean. I like the shape of the zeros.

Until I read the blog, I never realized the Mustaine pups were based on the JB/jazz. Ive never been big on actives for the same reason Dave stated. Interesting!

The Zero is just an amazing guitar for the price - the Angel of Deth ones.

And the V's are great too.
