Blues Attempt

Re: Blues Attempt

I don't remember ever hearing that tone being used for blues (maybe similar but, not the same). You have your own tone and it fits the way you play... A bit of jazzy stuff there after the piano solo...

Very cool recording...

Re: Blues Attempt

This is great! You should keep at the blues. One of the best I've heard on the forum (but I haven't explored tips and clips much).

Any chance we can get the backing? Lovin' that piano solo.

Re: Blues Attempt

Well, great playing, very cool backintrack!

but I also think that a less smoother sound would fit that kind of playing better. But great work though.

I have to record a take over this BT too.....hehe :D

Re: Blues Attempt

Love your playing as always mate. Nice tone, so clean, yet distorted :)

A good blend of Jazz and blues in the playing, i like. Suited the track. I love the spaces in the playing

Im going to have a go of this backing too, give my new pups a test run.

Thanks man!

Your take is very cool and I agree with you..it's difficult to come up with new stuff. Good job although I'd use more reverb :D Well..I'm a reverb and delay fan :)

Re: Blues Attempt

I loved it alot. The tone is sweet but still a tad "wild" ,wich i need to concentratre on a song :)
The Phrasing is as always fantastic and i don't think you need to get better to play better blues. You play it really good and thtas def. your style.

Re: Blues Attempt

I'm no blues guy at all but it´s cool to concentrate on tone (vibrato, expression etc.) and realize that it´s dang difficult :D

Nevertheless I just recorded a blues thing inspired by some members here in this section :)

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=275337&songID=4248379

Ibanez RG 2570 (what..who said blasphemy? :laugh2: ), straight into the Engl Screamer the T.C. G-Major...just a tad reverb effect.

That souned great man! You definitely got some nice phrasing and the chops are there. I thought the tone was fine.....kinda like older Larry Carlton stuff.
