Blues Demo for my Band

Good News!! Last night my band got back together after a 4 year hiatas.
We sat down at dinner and discuss a new recording project. I presented
the guys with this tune I wrote for the last project. My original demo was
real cheesy, So I revamped it. Still no gett'in around my piss poor vocals :blackeye: But other than that it almost sounds like a real band.
Well Almost
YOU DON'T KNOW JACK

Re: Blues Demo for my Band

Good tune . . . don't tell anyone the vocals are bad . . . they won't know. ;)

(The vocals are fine.) ;)

They fit "the blues".

Re: Blues Demo for my Band

man i dig this....... i think the vocals are cool actually, your voice is actually like my dads bass players voice...... and the main vocal hook "cause ya dont know jack" man, i dig that, its catchy

Re: Blues Demo for my Band

thats awesome! when i listened to it i felt like i was in a hot steamy smoked filled bar :laugh2:

Re: Blues Demo for my Band

Good old Blues man. Theres nothing like a nice classic blues solo, and some organ in the backround. This is good stuff man, and theres nothing wrong with the vocals.

Re: Blues Demo for my Band

Thanks Guys!! :D When I hear myself sing it gives me the blues. So I
guess it works out in a roundabout way ?? My voice is way to soft
to be a good Blues Singer. Lucky for me the Guys in the band can
Really dig down deep and howl out a Blues tune. :angryfire
CowboyDan hit the nail right on the head!! That's the Vibe I was
Goin' for. The old smoke filled Gin Mill vibe!!

Re: Blues Demo for my Band

We like, KMC, we like ... :)
It actually reminded me of 1960's stoner rock/blues, which isn't my forte, so I may be wrong ...

Re: Blues Demo for my Band

Actually your vocals remind me of someone - almost a little eric claptony of old - he had a soft touch over some of the blues stuff he was doing - nice job

Re: Blues Demo for my Band

Sweet! This fits right in with the other tunes that I have heard from you. I think I might have heard the older version of this? The music reminds me of Booker T/ Cropper. Sweet vintage twangy guitar. The vocals totally work. I have a hard time singing like that with my nasally 80s new wave voice :D

The ride cymbal is off time in a few places and it definitely adds the human feel :D
