blues Jr. Big bad HUM

I bought this amp about one year ago, and I've had the same hum problem ever since.

Whenever im playing it the amp is humming.
When im playing straight to it is less hum (or noise) than when im using a pedal and it becomes louder with higher gain.
it also becomes a pretty LOUD noise when am using a pedal and its almost gone when i start playing but the moment i start playing again there’s the hum again (i use a boss os-2 overdrive/distortion and a Modded Boss ds-1).

A few weeks ago i notice that whenever the big hum is present its almost gone by touching the metal chassis of the amp (with my hand) but there’s still a minimal hum almost not noticeable

any suggestion???? posible problem???

Hi! First I'll say that jrs are great amps, so Im not cutting down your gear. But they are known to hum. That is the reason I bought a Peavey Classic 30 instead because every Jr I demoed hummed like that. Had one store even try to tell me it was just the wiring in the store had no ground.
As far a cure, perhaps you could try some JJ tubes from Eurotubes. Contact Bob over there and see if a set of matched tubes could help. Also, Im not real electronically savy so I wont try to bull you, but since you mentioned that touching the chassis helps, this tells me it is a ground issue and probably quite fixable. Does it happen everywhere you plug it? could be the outlet.
