Blues Sareceno (Parallel Axis) bridge with Phat Cat on the neck

Just what the thread title says.

This forum turned me on to the Sareceno pickup for the bridge of a Petrucci sig guitar a couple years ago and I'm still loving it.

So much I've decided to put it in the bridge of another guitar as well. Specifically a Reverend Rahc-90

Haven't ever felt the Railhamer Pups are what I want.....love the guitar

Being familiar with the Patb-3 I know that is what I want in the bridge. As for the stock Railhamers, the neck is a P90 style pickup and I really kind of like it (more than the bridge) but think it wouldn't match the Sareceno so well. I've never played a phat cat or even heard one in person, but clips sound good. I'm thinking the output on the phat cat is slightly less so should be a good match in that regard. I'm guessing most of the time I'd be playing strictly bridge OR neck, but I'll try the middle (sometimes with the Patb-3 split) and see what I get. If that's not so good, not a big deal.

Soooo, before I purchase and go for it, anybody here try this? Or even similar? Or anything I'm missing that should make me re-consider.

Always love the input around here, and good ole gear chat! Thanks guys

I have both of the pickups you're looking at, but not in the same guitar. I'm using a PCn as a strat bridge pickup and a PATB-3 paired with a PATB-1n. I'd say that they'd balance well in the same guitar, though a PCn may overpower a split PATB-3.

Go for it. They complement each other well. I used to have them in my LP.
