BluesnMettle Is A Very Generous Guy

Darrin was nice enough to send me his British Tone Bone pedal to check out...I've not spent enough time with it yet and it has quite a few switchable tone controls along with the normal drive, volume, and tone controls on most pedals....

For now,I just wanted to let everyone else know that Darrin is very generous and an awesome forum brother...Darrin,I got you covered entirely on the shipping brother...Give me a few days to play through your pedal at different volumes and with different guitars to give it a great eval....I've been looking at this pedal for awhile and I appreciate you allowing me to try it without buying it....Thanks again...I owe ya a favor buddy....

Darrin is a great guy. I bought a pup of him and he was great to deal with.

I've modded some pedals for Darrin, but for anyone to just send something like an expensive pedal to another forum member is just very "special" in my book...I'm very happy also,to have guys like Darrin within my circle of great people all over this forum....I'd do the same for someone else also, but it would depend on who I guess?

That is very cool of him to loan the Tonebone for you to try. I have the Hot British pedal myself. Yeah, it takes a bit of tweaking and in my very humble opinion it works best with humbuckers but once you've got it dialed in it's great.

Threads like this are great. It's awesome that we can count on eachother and trust eachother as much as we all do. :)

Thanks, John. That wasn't necessary, but I do appreciate it. You're a good guy who did a great job with my TS-9, I value your opinion (most of them :laugh2: ) & we have similar tastes in tone. You inquired in a thread a few days ago about the ToneBone, I have one, I trust you. No problem. I'll look forward to what your "golden ears" think of this pedal. I really dig it & like Mike said, I too think it's a better humbucker pedal(though I've conjured up some nice tones w/my Texas Hots & Custom) & it does take some tweaking. Tweak away bro!

Peace,

Darrin

BTW, Thanks, Lee
