Bobbin color under the hood-Bonamassa

I've gotten a second set of Bona's in a trade-and dropped them in my Tak LP. Love the sound-but the gold/nickel battle is a little hard on the eyes. I might just throw on a nickel part or two I have laying around. Not a huge fan off all that gold anyway. But-I was wondering what the bobbin color is on these. The cover looks great, so I'll probably just leave it, but does anyone know if they are zebra or double black under the cover?

Remove a baseplate screw from each bobbin & you'll be able to tell the color.

BTW, welcome to the forum!

Sadly, both sets are double cream neck, double black bridge. Seems...odd. Two mismatched double bobbins are pretty much the only combo of pickups I can't stomach. Zebra, reverse Z, double black, double cream-the last one would fit this guitar great, but I would deal. Oh well. Kinda wanted to transform the guitar from gold to nickel hardware anyway.

That's the easiest thing to do.

And the Tak is a gorgeous instrument. I'm positive it'll look great in nickel.
