In case anyone in LA or OC is interested in checking out the new Bogner Alchemist in action, I'll be using it (Head and 212) for a gig this coming weekend. I know of few of ya here are interested in it from other posts. I'll be using an M13 with it as well with it. My band CHIME will be playing with EVE 6 on Sunday Sept 14th at The Coach House. I do have a limited number of discounted tickets (almost 1/2 off), so email me from here or from http://www.gotchime.com if interested. ~AZ

Re: Bogner Alchemist in action

Dude! I live 5 miles away from the Coach House! I'll take a ticket! I'll send you a PM!

Re: Bogner Alchemist in action

Great! Not sure of our slot yet. I'll add to it it as well, that if we are first up, after our soundcheck, if there's time and no prob from the soundguy, I'd be happy to let ya try the amp out.

EDIT: Just noticed on the Coach House website that we look to be direct support before Eve 6, but we'll figure it out.

interesting! How does it sound Ins of noise? Ive played the line 6 with the Bogner amp and its suprisingly good. I just question the reliability.

Re: Bogner Alchemist in action

So far it sounded great tonight at rehearsal! I wouldn't question reliability any more than any other product. Being I work for Line 6 and knowing the integrity and meticulous handiwork of Reinhold and all the sharp engineers working on it, I'd feel pretty confident rolling with it. I know it sounds slighted, but why would I compromise my performance at a gig, right? I'm still a musician that cares about his rig and where I work has no bearing on it. What it does do for me by working there is actually instill more confidence in it, because I know what into making it. Even before I worked here, I've been using their products since 1999 and have never had one product go bad on me, and I don't baby stuff I use live, nor do I abuse it either.

Wow, Eve 6 and the Gin Blossoms, 2 of my fave bands. Chime sounds great, nice production and great guitars and harmonies. Good stuff. I'm really interested in the Alchemist, from what i've heard, it's what I want in a gig amp. Can the 40 watt head work with a 4 12 cab?

So tell me, chassis mounted pots? are the tubes PCB mounted? what's the PCB like?

Yeah, that is one thing I did think about.. I didnt figure Bogner would be involved in something half arse.

Re: Bogner Alchemist in action

that linky doesnt mention anything about line 6. But it does say it gets the brown sound!!! :cool2::cool2:

Re: Bogner Alchemist in action

Hey AZ....I dig your tunes on the Myspace page.

Took a bit for the lead singers voice to grow on me, but nice harmonies. I'd actually like to hear you guys do some Gin Blossom covers. Coming Down On You had a Follow You Down vibe.

Re: Bogner Alchemist in action

Butnut, Thanks! No reason it shouldn't work with a 4x12, or any cab for that matter.

Grits, to be honest I didn't even take notice all this time. I accepted the fact that the master knows what's best... (:->

Puckboy, thanks again! Actually Coming Down and Never Knew Anyone have Scotty and Jesse, along with their touring/studio drummer Kooze of the Gins, guesting on that tune. Bill the singer actually had a Gin Blossoms tribute band for a bit h did with Kooze about 3-4 years ago. Our debut CD is almost done. Wew have another tune with The Rembrandts doing most of the backups vocals. We're all in the camp of friends.

I'll check your band out if you play locally. San Juan Capistrano is pretty hard on my gas tank nowadays. I'm pretty sure I'll be parting with something to make room for an Alchemist head, the minute they start showing up.

Re: Bogner Alchemist in action

GearJ, Like I've said in the past since your so close, you'd be welcome to come by a rehearsal and check it out sometime. The only local shows we around here are at the Canyon Club a couple of times year. Just shoot me a PM or email and we'll find a time.

Yeah, if you're around North Hollywood, I wouldn't mind dropping by a rehearsal. The times I didn't in the past were due to a hectic personal life, and no need to explore something I didn't need to buy.

The Alchemist sounds like an amp I want though. So, I'm assuming you really like it? Is the honeymoon phase over yet, or do you think it's good enough to be a main amp for a long time?

Re: Bogner Alchemist in action

I just started playign the Alchemist last nite. Going to work with it and be ready to gig with it Sunday on the Eve 6 show.

We rehearse in Calabasas area. Not sure if your still in Chatsworth. I'm not in the NoHo area much anymore.
