Bogner Duende Clips

Re: Bogner Duende Clips

wow that's got some pretty big balls for a little amp, i'll have to give one a shot for ****s and giggles if i come across one. it's no where near enough power to keep up with my animal of a drummer without a PA but it may make a killer home amp!

anyone have pics of both the head and combo version of it? i can't seem to find any.

WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!! this could be a killer amp for home use. it covers alot of ground, chunky rock tone and a lush trem, a little reverb, a cool clean channel and some impressive gain on tap. looks like another great amp.

Re: Bogner Duende Clips

This is the most badass rig I've ever laid eyes on!

Re: Bogner Duende Clips

Holy **** that high gain channel is friggin tight for rythm :beerchug:

I think I'm more of a "stoner/doom" guy when it comes to high gain though, I like a loose stoner feel to the sound.

Re: Bogner Duende Clips

Sounds like a smokin' amp! 18 watters...... I dunno ...................Headroom Sounds awesome though, Blues Saraceno does it justice!

Re: Bogner Duende Clips

Hmmm...

I don't know. Those Clips didn't impress me much at all. Gain channels sounds way too "squishy" for me..not tight at all.

I personally prefer the sound of this 18 watter 18W

Re: Bogner Duende Clips

Sounded good.....not sure if it'll be price valued, but it's o.k.

The Metropolis though....:32:

Who's rig IS that?

The site says Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts, who'd have figured a country guy would have a Bogner setup like that :laugh2:.

Re: Bogner Duende Clips

Everyone gets the idea that the Ecstasy is just a highgain killing machine, but it's really the most versatile tube amp there is. It seems funny seeing a country/rock band using Ecstasys, but there's a zillion great clean and midgain tones in those amps. The gain is there if you want it, but in reality he could have all 3 channels set up for Fendery crystal clean, clean plexi, and pushed plexi.

If you look at the Ecstacys in the rack, you'll notice the dual blue lights, dual red lights, or dual green lights. That's a great feature in the dark, because the LED's are underneath your volume and gain for each channel, so it's easy to see which knobs they are.

True, I'm just used to seeing the country players go with Dr. Z, etc. before Bogner. I know they're perfectly capable, they just don't seem to be as popular as some other brands with the country guys. Of course, modern country is more pop-rock than anything else, so I suppose it's REALLY not that surprising if you think about it.

Re: Bogner Duende Clips

You know what was REALLY surprising? The guitarist in Rascal Flatts was using the most NON country rig I've ever seen on the Country Music Awards.

Get this.....he had a Nuno Bettencourt model Washburn plugged into a Shiva combo!!! It ain't the Bogner that surprised me, it was the Nuno guitar!!!
