Bogner Ecstacy class A/AB? (Gearjonser/other owners)

Is it worth the extra money for the A/AB option? Does anyone use the Class A option? I know it'd be nice to have, but would I ever use it, or should I save the $250 extra. I have a choice of both, and they're both pricey?

I like the fact that mine has that feature, but I don't use it often.

It really is best for the clean channel and possibly blue channel in plexi mode. What you'll notice is a slight drop in volume and a lowering of the headroom, but it gets a little squishier sounding. I doubt you'd like it's effect on the blue channel in normal mode or the red channel in normal mode, so it's probably not worth $250 to you.

What I use most is the halfpower and mixable FX loop. the XTC has a great mixable FX loop, so it's easy to dial the effect in perfectly. Plus, the footswitch allows you to bypass it.

Thanks man!, I knew you were the one to ask. I'll put in the order, hope I like it!

I don't think you will need the Fenders for the Cleans. I used to use a Marshall 900 and a Super Reverb A/B'd. I bought a Shiva and initially I justed replace the Marshall with the Shiva. Once I got used to the Bogner I found that the Cleans on the Bogner were as good as any Fender I've used in the past. I actually believe the Reverb in the Shiva is better than the Fenders. Now granted the Shiva is not an Xtacy, but I have to believe the claen are going to be there.
