Bogner pedals? Who's tried em?

Most importantly, who that owns a Bogner, has tried them?

I see that Sweetwater has em now. There is a Ubershall, a Ecstacy red and Ecstacty Blue one. $299 a pop..

Ive never had the opp to play an Ecstacy, but from everything I hear, I think it may be my "it" amp. (My Splawn is VERY close) So if these pedals deliver (Im SURE they wont be the same as the amp) tone thats in the ballpark, then I may be able to satisfy my itch with out going broke..

Before you do that, try the AMT B1 or B2 pedal. It also won't be exact, but they're $100ish.



I have the E1 and am looking at picking up a few more. I throw it in the middle of a virtual chain (tube screamer plugin and amp cab sim plugin) and it kills.

I didn't care for the emulated cabinet output on it, but running it through my normal recording chain (on the computer) puts it at "sounds like an amp". Haven't spent too much time with it, but it fits my workflow just fine. I'm looking to pick up a few more of their pedals now.

I saw them and heard them at the LA Amp Show a week ago. Typical of Bogner, they look and sound like quality.

I don't know much about the insides, but it seems he emulated the blue and red channels of the XTC. I'm not a fan of highgain pedals in front of clean amps, so I'm not sure I'd have any use for the Red or Uber.

If I'm using a pedal in front of an amp, I like half the gain coming from the amp melding with half the gain from the pedal, so in theory the Blue one is more interesting to me. After listening to clips of the Red, I'm starting to dig it a lot too though. Not sure yet which one I want.


I even tried to pry the Bogner poster away from them at the booth on Sunday evening, because it's cool looking. Wait till you see the poster for the Bogner Red. It's Reinhold painted up like the Devil. haha

They won't ship until November from what I've heard. I'm getting the XTC Red pedal.

Nice! I just took a look a the XTC Blue pedal and really dig what I am seeing. I could definitely see trying one into my [very clean] Straub amp. The Blue channel was definitely my favorite channel on the XTC Classic that I had.
