wonderful distortion of the most orgasmic kind from plexi tone to (adjusting deep mode) most viscious thrash tone and at allmost any volumn. We got great distortion at low volumn via the depth control say 5 to 15 watts-no bs really-like your favorite botique amps. And louder? Fantastic distortion again adjustable from plexi to viscious thrash. The rythem channel is more spongy and organic from clean and spanky via the strat-yes bell like tones, ya I couldnt believe it eather-to very bluesy like santana's black magic woman to very nice plexi tone. The clip is not brittle like el-34 tubes, its slightly softer but in a pleasing way and this amp has plenty of gain. I would not use any distortion pedal with this amp and would have a hard time justifying even a compression peddle. It realy is that good but easy to work with. There is not a bunch of cluttered junk and gizmo's for controls and the amp is easy to dial in great tone. It goes from plexi to thrash/ clean to plexi(rythem channel) is its clean tone as good as a fender twin?-no but its a good tone with a strat with singles-I got a punchy clean out of it that sounded good. This amp will sound good at allmost any playing volumn which to me says it not only versitile, its also flexable. Am I getting one? -oh hell yes-I havent heard a better amp for the money. Its expensive but its quality expensive. This is a great amp period. Kudo's to Bogner, mark my words this amp will be considered a classic. :beerchug:
